Welcome to my portfolio. I document my work in product design and user experience here. Hope you have a nice stay!
I was privileged to partner with Kathy at SoFi for two years. In that time, I watched her grow to evolve the experience of our core line of business and to play a steading hand for our team in a fast moving environment.
Her ability to navigate complexity, prioritize, and work seamlessly with cross functional stakeholders was critical to shipping numerous improvements that added millions of dollars of revenue to the bottom line and made the experience better for SoFi members.
Kathy was one of the first people I worked with when I started my career in UX Research, and she set such a high bar for working with other designers. She’s got so much experience and was a wonderful partner to UX Research: she’s a great communicator, is always willing to debrief and provide feedback, and she was a lovely coworker to have as well (we even tapped her to help us hire for our own team).
I appreciated how accommodating she was when working with someone new to the field, and I felt really supported when I worked with her. She’s been deeply missed here at SoFi, but her new company is so, so lucky to have her!

UX Researcher at SoFi
Kathy is an amazing teammate. Here’s why:
1. She’s eager. Kathy hit the ground running when she joined our tiny UX team at SoFi. Without much direction, she started to identify and address problems along the mortgage application path and several internal services with the product and engineering teams. The energy she brings to the table when solving problems is persistent and infectious.
2. She’s patient. As eager as she is to get started solving a problem, Kathy is able to pull herself back from delivering a solution that requires more input. She thoughtfully (and efficiently) responds to feedback — be it from users, her peers or stakeholders.
3. She’s diligent. Kathy is successful at SoFi because she is a great communicator. While being remote from the rest of the design team and the vast majority of product managers, she’s truly honed her skills in relaying and receiving information through video conferencing, Slack, email and more formal documentation. She makes sure every detail is addressed and understood.
4. She’s humble. Kathy is not one to boast of her talents. As an individual contributor and as a team leader, she shares her successes with everyone around her.
