Discovery

  • Existing points of friction:

    • Desktop Optimized 80% of traffic comes through mobile web at native

    • Travel Optimized Employment types have expanded

    • Complex Filters have been added haphazardly, job source is unclear

    • Difficulty with Location

    • Slow to Use Load times are long, searches are reset, filtering is slow and clunky

    • Terminology Confusing, unclear terms make filtering difficult

  • Existing experience research

    • Methodology: 8 user interviews (recruited via UserInterviews.com + 1 existing user)

    • 4 primary areas of opportunity were uncovered

      • Search Make the search prominent

      • Filters Ensure attributes can be filtered with ease and relevance, Investigate the idea of “must have” filters, vs. “nice to have” filters

      • Clarity Discern job is a fit before applying

      • Accuracy & Consistency Inconsistencies in how jobs are displayed and filtered makes users question accuracy, which hurts user trust and our credibility
